PURCHASE AMOUNTS

You can purchase additional fund shares at any time. Generally, for new accounts, the minimum initial purchase amount is $1,000 for Class A, B and C shares. Subsequent purchases of shares of any class generally must be $100 or more. Minimum purchase requirements do not apply to retirement plans other than IRAs. Shareholders can open an account with $250.00 by signing up for the Automatic Investment Plan. Please refer to the chart below for additional information:

If you are invested in: Minimum Purchase Amounts
  • Uniform Gift/Transfer to Minors Act
  • IRAs
  • Automatic Investment Plans
$250.00 - Initial Investment for Classes A, B, & C
$25.00 - Subsequent Investments
If you are invested in: Maximum Purchase Amounts*
  • Any Delaware Investments Mutual Fund
$250,000.00 - Class B
$1,000,000.00 - Class C

*An investor may exceed maximum purchase limitations by making cumulative purchases over a period of time. In doing so, an investor should keep in mind that reduced front-end sales charges are available on investments of $100,000 or more in Class A shares, and that Class A shares:
(i) are subject to lower annual 12b-1 Plan expenses than Class B shares and Class C shares and;
(ii) generally are not subject to a CDSC.
For retirement plans, the maximum purchase limitations apply only to the initial purchase of Class B shares or Class C shares by the plan.
