Below are the Centennial Celebration grants awarded in Fort Wayne:
Headwaters Park Lincoln Financial Pavilion
Lincoln Financial Foundation awarded a $500,000 grant to the Headwaters Park Alliance to construct a permanent pavilion cover over the west plaza of Headwaters Park. The pavilion, which is called Lincoln Financial Pavilion, covers 80 percent of the plaza or 26,000 square feet. This area is the site of the new ice rink, festivals, nonprofit events and special occasions.
Lincoln Financial Group was one of the major funders for development of Headwaters Park in 1994 and made the additional investment to enhance the park and create opportunities for expanded usage, especially to those groups who found tent rentals prohibitive.

Junior Achievement Lincoln Finance Park
Junior Achievement of Northern Indiana received a $500,000 grant from the Lincoln Financial Foundation for development, programming and construction of Lincoln Finance Park, a reality-based, hands-on simulation for middle school students.
Lincoln Finance Park teaches students to make intelligent personal finance decisions by giving them a realistic, experiential understanding of the economic issues they will deal with later in life. Students will first participate in a four-week curriculum that prepares them for a day-long visit to Lincoln Finance Park. Then, during their visit to the 10,000-square-feet Lincoln Finance Park facility, they will assume adult roles in a mock city complete with 15 businesses.
Lincoln Finance Park opened on September 29, 2005.
