About Greensboro's Charitable Contributions Committee
The Lincoln Financial Foundation established its Greensboro-based Charitable Contributions Committee in July 2006. Since that time, the committee has dedicated itself to improving the quality of life in those communities throughout the Greensboro area where Lincoln Financial employees live and work.
In keeping with the Foundation's mission, the Greensboro committee focuses its efforts on funding arts and culture, education/workforce development, and human services programs.

NC Dance Festival
Lincoln Financial Foundation's commitment to expand public access to the arts prompted a $10,000 grant to support NC Dance Festival's 20072008 season. The festival, now in its 16th year, will span six weekends, visiting Greensboro, Raleigh, Boone, Ashville, Wilmington, and Charlotte.
In addition to public performances that reach more than 3,500 people, the festival includes educational outreach efforts such as master classes with dancers and artist-in-the-school experiences. Last year's festival hosted educational programs in seven Greensboro locations such as the Greensboro Public Library Central Branch, Greensboro Children's Museum, and the Weaver Performing Arts Academy.
"Teachers love to have the opportunity to work with real artists, and then watch them perform," said Heather Nabors, the NC Dance Project's program director. "We've had really positive feedback from students and teachers who want to be part of the outreach and part of the festival."
