Omaha Performing Arts Society
Lincoln Financial Foundation is partnering with the Omaha Performing Arts Society to provide access to world-class modern dance in Omaha. A $50,000 grant made through Lincoln Foundation and Lincoln Financial Group will underwrite the organization's 20072008 dance series, featuring three of the country's best modern dance companies.
"We are thrilled to receive the support of Lincoln Financial Group and Lincoln Financial Foundation," said Joan Squires, president of Omaha Performing Arts. "This partnership furthers our efforts to bring the finest in performing arts to the Omaha area."
The Lincoln Financial Group Dance Series will showcase three highly diverse and athletic styles of dance at Omaha's Orpheum Theater. They include Ballet Hispanico, one of the nation's preeminent Hispanic dance companies; The Parsons Dance Company, an exuberant and athletic New York City troupe; and the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, recognized throughout the world as one of the foremost dance interpreters of the African-American experience.
