If you prefer investments that integrate financial analysis with corporate responsibility, TAP
529 offers two "socially responsible" investment options — the Socially Responsible Core Bond
Portfolio and the Socially Responsible Core Equity Portfolio. These options are currently
invested in Calvert Social Investment Funds (CSIF).
Investment Options
The following mutual funds comprise the Socially Responsible Portfolios:

Calvert Social Investment Fund - Bond Portfolio
(CSIBX) seeks to provide as high a level of current income as is consistent with prudent investment risk and preservation of capital through investment in bonds and other straight debt securities meeting the Fund's investment and social criteria.

Calvert Social Investment Fund - Equity Portfolio (CSIEX) seeks growth of capital through investment in stocks of issuers in industries believed to offer opportunities for potential capital appreciation and which meet the Fund's investment and social criteria.
With TAP 529, you can blend both of the socially responsible funds into your investment selections, creating a custom mix. For example, if you put 60 percent in the Socially Responsible Core Equity Portfolio and 40 percent in the Socially Responsible Core Bond Portfolio, this will create a balanced portfolio of socially responsible investments.
