Lincoln Financial Group's TPA Relationship Management Unit Explanding Workshop Program into 2011
PHILADELPHIA, September 24, 2010 — Lincoln Financial Group TPA Relationship Management, a unit of Lincoln Financial Group (NYSE:LNC), said it is expanding its third party administrator marketing workshops into 2011, based on the success of its 2010 series and feedback received from participants.
The workshops, designed by LFG in conjunction with KK & Company, a strategic planning, marketing and business development firm, focus on helping TPAs more efficiently build comprehensive and timely strategic marketing and sales plans, among other objectives.
"The TPA community is an important part of Lincoln's business, and plays a vital role in our defined contribution strategy," said Fred Bloodgood, vice president and director of TPA relationship management. "We are constantly assessing the marketplace to develop new tools and programs to help our TPA partners meet a wide range of objectives," he said.
In 2010, 15 TPA firms participated in 5 workshops. Indicative of the value of the workshops, many TPAs emphasized how the program helped change their business model to enhance sales and operational efficiencies, Bloodgood said.

"In advance of each of the 2010 workshops, TPAs were interviewed to determine their specific needs. That information was used to ensure each TPA workshop was customized. In addition, we took into account the operational and configuration differences of each TPA firm," Bloodgood said.
