Lincoln Financial Distributors Appoints Jason Key As Relationship Manager, Institutional Retirement Solutions Distribution

PHILADELPHIA, November 23, 2010 — Lincoln Financial Distributors, the wholesale distribution subsidiary of Lincoln Financial Group (NYSE:LNC), today announced that Jason Key has been appointed relationship manager for the Institutional Retirement Solutions Distribution (IRSD) consultant channel, effective December 1, 2010.

In this new role, reporting to Marcela Curry, head of relationship management for IRSD, Key will be responsible for growing the IRSD business and supporting the field sales team through research, strategic planning, and relationship development.

"We are pleased to be able to have someone of Jason's caliber take on this important role," said Garry Spence, head of Institutional Retirement Solutions Distribution. "His market and product knowledge will add to our strong ability to meet the growing need for our 403(b) healthcare solutions with a range of audiences," he said. "To ensure we meet those growing needs, we will continue to build our team. That effort, coupled with our existing deep bench, is a major benefit to our clients."

Key has more than 10 years of experience in sales and has held various positions at Lincoln Financial Group since 2002. Currently, Key is an assistant vice president for the Defined Contribution business, a post he assumed in 2007. Here he is responsible for shaping the Defined Contribution business strategy and sales goals in the South and West coast. From 2002 to 2006 he served as a senior retirement consultant, and from 2006 to 2007 he was southeast regional manager. Key began his career in 2000 as an agent with New York Life in Wilmington/Raleigh, N.C., followed by a position as a financial services representative with Wall Street Capitol in Charlotte, N.C.

Key earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, N.C. He holds Chartered Retirement Planning and Mutual Fund Counselor certifications; Long-Term Care and Medical Supplement, and Life and Health Insurance licenses; and NASD series 6 and 63 licenses. Key will be based in Charlotte, N.C.
