Lincoln Financial Group Launches "Chief Life Officer" Photo Contest
Debuting Corporate Brand Campaign on Facebook Establishes New Connection with Consumers
PHILADELPHIA, May 16, 2012 — Lincoln Financial Group (NYSE:LNC) announced today the launch of a photo contest that supports the company's "Chief Life Officer" brand campaign. The online contest, which is running on the company's Facebook page, invites users to submit a photo that illustrates a moment when they took charge of life.
"Our corporate brand campaign is all about empowerment," said Jamie DePeau, chief marketing officer for Lincoln Financial. "Whether it is seeking to secure a sound financial future, being the best parent in the world or embracing a hidden talent, we believe it is important to live life passionately. We hope this contest provides an opportunity for people to capture some of those important moments or activities that help to define them."
Launching the photo contest on Facebook is representative of Lincoln Financial's strategy to more frequently reach people through social networks.

"Bringing this contest to Facebook allows us to do just that — establish a strong connection to people and expand our social media footprint along the way."
Facebook users have until May 28, 2012, to submit a photo. The voting period for all submissions runs until June 11, 2012. The five contestants whose photos receive the most votes each will win a new iPad®. The first 250 entrants also receive a Lincoln Financial "Chief Life Officer" mug.
