Lincoln Financial Group's Karla Munden Named One Of The Top 100 Most Influential Blacks In Corporate America
Senior Vice President and General Auditor Honored as Prominent Leader by Savoy Magazine

Radnor, PA, March 18, 2014 — Lincoln Financial Group (NYSE: LNC) announced today that Karla Munden, senior vice president and general auditor, has been named to Savoy Magazine's 2014 Top 100 Most Influential Blacks in Corporate America. The complete list, which is published in the spring 2014 issue, highlights the nation's top influencers and achievers from corporations such as Google, Wal-Mart, Verizon and McDonalds, among many others.

"The 2014 Top 100 issue features the highest caliber of executive leadership in America's corporations," said L.P. Green II, publisher of Savoy Magazine. "Savoy is honored to feature such a powerful collection of inspirational leaders reaching new heights of achievement in business."

A selection committee comprised of Savoy's editorial board and community leaders representing academia and business screened more than 500 candidates in diverse fields that influence Savoy's readership. Fields included human resources, real estate, finance, investment banking, diversity, foundations, procurement, business development, marketing, sales, health care, manufacturing and legal. The final list selection was based not only on career accomplishments in these fields, but also the candidates' commitment to inspiring others and bettering their local communities.

"We recognize the talent and skill that Karla brings to Lincoln every day as she oversees our Internal Audit department," said Randal J. Freitag, chief financial officer for Lincoln Financial Group. "A trusted partner in our organization, Karla's knowledge and insight help us to better serve our clients and our employees. Her leadership and innovative vision are vital to our company, and we congratulate her on receiving this important achievement."

Last month, Munden was also profiled in Profiles in Diversity Journal's Black Heritage Month feature, "A Legacy of Leadership." The issue spotlighted a select group of individuals who shared their perspectives on leadership, giving back and the challenges facing the black community today. Profiles in Diversity Journal is a bi-monthly publication that focuses on diversity and inclusion, senior leadership and best practices in various sectors, including business and government.
