CODE OF CONDUCT
At Lincoln Financial, integrity is critical to our success. That's why we expect all of our employees to make the right decision — every time. Since we understand that making these decisions isn't always easy, we have a new Code of Conduct that empowers our employees with the tools they need, so when they have to make tough decisions taking charge and making the right choice is a little easier.
Our new Code addresses 21st century challenges that many of our employees face on a regular basis. It is based on our company's shared values and includes new and updated sections, along with additional Q&As, designed to help our employees make ethical decisions by using real-world situations as learning tools.
We take our Code very seriously, because excellence and integrity have been the foundation of our company from the time we opened our doors for business in 1905. As a result, we rely on each of our employees to uphold the Code, act ethically in all business activities, and never compromise our commitment to our shared values.
Our shared values are an outgrowth of our strong foundation and form the basis of our reputation as a company with the highest ethical standards. All employees are expected to incorporate these values into the way they conduct business every day. Our dedication to these values as well as the Code itself enable us to perform our work with the utmost integrity while, at the same time, providing value for our customers, communities and shareholders.
