Lincoln New Directions® Fixed Indexed Annuity offers a number of features to help you meet your retirement income needs. The following are some key facts and features about the product:

Type of Product Lincoln New Directions® Fixed Indexed Annuity is a single premium deferred annuity, which allows you to select from a choice of a fixed account and two indexed accounts.
Interest Rates The fixed account offers an initial set interest rate for six or eight years, depending on the product chosen. The indexed accounts offer the potential to earn interest tied to the performance of the S&P 500® Index.
Minimum Premium Payment Amounts The minimum premium payment amount of money for this product is $10,000.
Age Requirements In order to purchase this product, you must be between the ages of 0 and 85.
Optional Feature Lincoln New Directions®; Fixed Indexed Annuity offers an optional rider which provides the opportunity for a guaranteed withdrawal amount for the rest of your life. Available at an additional cost, this rider provides you with flexibility and control in your retirement income planning.

Taxes are due upon withdrawal, and if withdrawn before age 59 1/2, may be subject to a 10% premature distribution penalty. There is no additional tax deferral benefit for contracts purchased in an IRA or other tax-qualified plan, since these are already afforded tax-deferred status. Therefore, an annuity should only be purchased in an IRA or qualified plan if the client values some of the other features of the annuity.

Lincoln New Directions® single premium deferred annuity (contract form 94-523, or state variation) is a fixed indexed annuity issued by The Lincoln National Life Insurance Company, Fort Wayne, IN, and distributed by Lincoln Financial Distributors, Inc., a broker/dealer, and may not be available in all states (may be referred to as "equity indexed annuity" in certain states).
