Boys & Girls Clubs of the Midlands offers a safe place for youth to learn, grow and have fun.

Working where the need is greatest

Founded in 1962, Boys & Girls Clubs of the Midlands represent 55 years of service to youth. Dedicated staff at 11 metro-area locations and a summer camp provide activities and support to more than 7,000 young people from kindergarten through high school graduation and beyond. Club sites are placed in targeted neighborhoods where the need is greatest.

The club’s “Formula for Impact” defines specific strategies to increase quality programming for three priority outcomes: academic success, character and citizenship, and healthy lifestyles. Youth are provided with a club experience filled with life-changing programs, fun, enriching activities and supportive relationships with peers and caring adults. These critical elements enable and empower club youth to achieve positive outcomes.

Readers to Leaders, a program funded by Lincoln Financial that focuses on children with low reading scores, focuses on closing the literacy gap among economically disadvantaged children.
